The Remarkables

It's not the top of the world but it may as well be. 2kms above Queenstown New Zealand, the Remarkables mountain range felt so high I might fall off the planet. The view unnerving and exhilarating. A place where one might meet their god.

It's not often planes fly below you but there you can see them. There the mountain peaks housed cave like crevices and islands of ice, the water was crystal clear and the cold summer air in my lungs a welcome contrast to the Badlands.
